Workplace Safety and Insurance Board - WSIB - and Hearing Aid Coverage
If you’re an Ontario resident who has suffered hearing loss due to noisy workplace conditions such as factories, construction work, driving large vehicles, or other loud workplaces that can damage hearing, you may be eligible to receive hearing aids or hearing aid repair services at no cost to you through Ontario’s WSIB program.
House of Hearing is a WSIB-authorized vendor, and we can guide you through the process of applying for and receiving your hearing aids if you qualify for the program.
Do you qualify?
Important: Before purchasing a hearing aid, you should request and receive approval from the WSIB so you don’t have to pay for the device yourself.
The WSIB may authorized the purchase of a hearing aid when:
• the worker has an allowed claim for work-related hearing loss, and
• it is prescribed by an audiologist or physician, and
• a hearing evaluation (i.e., audiogram) has been conducted which meets practice standards, and contains findings that support the use of a hearing aid.
If you believe you may qualify for this benefit, please contact us using the form to the left to discuss your options. We can perform a free hearing evaluation to see if a hearing aid is right for you, and we can guide you through the process of applying for and receiving your hearing aids at no cost to you.
Since this process can take some time, we recommend getting in touch with us today so we can help you get the process started right away!
