Phonak Lyric 3.0

With their latest iteration of the Lyric hearing aid, Phonak has made some significant update to their platform. The Lyric is known as the worlds first and only 100% invisible hearing aid that is designed to be placed in the ear-canal and worn 24/7.

The Lyric is made of a biocompatible material which prevents allergies or skin irritation, and is designed to take the shape of a persons ear-canal. The device is also designed to allow for adequate ventilation and a stable placement inside the ear.

Subscription Model

The Lyric, unlike your traditional hearing device, needs to be replaced every few months. This means that you will have to visit your hearing professional on a regular basis. A subscription will cover the cost of device replacement and counseling as needed.

Do I have to purchase a subscription?

Yes, Lyric is only available as a subscription. It is not possible to purchase this device in any other way.

What if my Lyric needs to be replaced while overseas?

If you are travelling and notice that your Lyric needs to be replaced, you will have to reach out to Phonak and ask them to provide you with a list of certified Lyric providers in the city you find yourself in. Please note that additional charges may apply as you are changing your hearing provider.

Trial & Purchase

First time users are welcome to try Lyric risk-free and no money down for 30 days. After your trial, you will be given two subscription options: yearly plan or monthly plan.

Subscription Cost

If you are happy with the performance and convenience of the Lyric and wish to subscribe you can pay a yearly subscription fee of $1,700 per ear. The other option is to pay a monthly fee of $150 per ear. Both plans require a minimum sign-up period of one year.

Ontario residents and ADP grant

The Lyric is not covered under the Ontario Ministry of Health Assistive Devices Program and as such users of the Lyric will not be eligible for the $500 grant. If you wish to take advantage of this grant provided to OHIP card holders, please try our other hearing aids.

Who Is Best Suited For The Lyric?

Due to the small size of the Lyric, this device is best suited for people with mild to moderately-severe hearing loss. For people with more sever hearing loss it is highly recommended that you try a different hearing aid model.

Headset and telephone use

Since the Lyric sits deep in the ear-canal, you will be able to use headphones, headsets or the telephone just like you would normally. Extra caution should be exercised if wearing earbuds that go inside the ears.

Swimming, showering, sports and activities

The Lyric is water resistant but not fully waterproof. Underwater swimming and or diving is not recommended. Lyric can however be worn while showering and during water activities where the head is not fully submerged. Sweat during physical activity will not negatively affect the Lyric.
